Mark Berry - Founder of The Rebuild

I’ve spent most of my life building things — systems, teams, safety programs, and entire operational structures.

For 18 years, I worked in the UK gas industry, leading thousands of people, managing millions in budgets, and driving change across some of the most complex, high-risk environments in the country. I was the guy people called when something hard had to get done — reliably, efficiently, safely.

If someone said, this can’t be done…it was me that got it done!
From the outside, it looked like success.
But on the inside, I was breaking.

My career, relationship, and health were all running on autopilot — and somewhere between promotion and burnout, I lost sight of who I actually was. I’d spent years climbing the wrong mountain, following someone else’s blueprint of what “a good life” should look like.

I was getting sicker, more exhausted, more disconnected. At first it was subtle: feeling worn out, always tired. Then it became physical — being sick in the office, shaking on the drive home, dreading walking into a house so large it only amplified how empty I felt. Alcohol became a way to numb. Running and cycling became distractions. Work became the place I proved — over and over — that I was good enough. And the more I succeeded at work, the more resentment grew at home.

My Life was spiralling, and I had become an expert at hiding it. Or so I thought. When I finally chose to leave my relationship, those close to me said “Good.” They had seen what I couldn’t admit. They saw I was disappearing. They saw the lie I was living. They saw how far I had drifted from my own values — in work, at home, and within myself. Burnout wasn’t just “stress.” It was a slow unravelling of who I was.

It was after that when everything started to change. I spent a year rebuilding who I was. I had to re-find my values, goals and start to live with intention. It took some heart-breaking last words from a friend who we sadly lost to the big C. “You work too much, you have nothing. I will die with my family around me. You have nothing.

Then, on a holiday that was supposed to be an escape, I met Carina. She didn’t rescue me — but she made me see what was missing: a life that actually aligned with my values. She gave me a why.

From that moment, everything really changed. I mapped out a plan to leave corporate life and rebuilt everything from the ground up — my health, my mindset, my purpose. It’s taken 2 years to heal myself, to regain control of my work and career. I still work long days sometimes and that is now my choice. I love the work I do with consulting and the coaching inspires me to be better and help more people. It is far from perfect, but it is always better. It is on my terms and aligned with my values.

I poured every ounce of my energy into creating a new life in the Austrian Alps — one where we could be together, live with balance, and build the family I’d always wanted.

That journey became the foundation for The Rebuild — a movement and method for men who look successful on the outside, but feel lost, stuck, or unfulfilled inside.

Why The Rebuild Exists

The Rebuild isn’t about motivation or quick fixes. It’s about truth.
It’s about facing yourself, stripping away what isn’t real, and learning to live with intention.

My approach combines three worlds:

1.Performance and process excellence from my corporate career — backed by years leading large teams, delivering high-stakes results, and operating as an Incorporated Engineer. This is where discipline, systems thinking, and clarity of execution were critical.

2.Human understanding and transformation through coaching and lived experience — where awareness, emotion, and meaning create change that lasts. This side is built on rebuilding my own life from the ground up and helping others do the same.

3.Evidence-based mind–body change through NLP, Time Line Therapy® and Hypnosis — modalities grounded in cognitive psychology, behavioural science, and the neuroscience of how the unconscious mind stores patterns. These approaches allow clients to dissolve limiting beliefs, release emotional blocks, and rewire the strategies that drive behaviour — creating lasting internal change, not temporary motivation.

The Rebuild Method guides people through the same process I lived: from awareness to ownership, from clarity to choice, from pain to purpose. It’s about creating your own map and climbing your own mountain — again and again — because perfection isn’t the goal. Progress is
